Offramp

Effective date: 15 June 2026

Offramp ("Offramp", "we", "us") is a tracking and education tool for people who, together with their prescriber, are gradually tapering off an antidepressant. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and the choices and rights you have. We designed Offramp to collect as little as possible and to never sell your data or use it for advertising.

Offramp is operated by the Offramp team. Contact: [email protected].

The short version

What we collect and why

We only collect what the app needs to function. We do not collect data for advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Sign in with Apple

If you use Sign in with Apple, Apple may relay a private, app-specific email address instead of your real one. We accept that relay address; you never have to share your real email with us.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

If you connect Apple Health, Offramp reads only your sleep data, and only with your permission. In keeping with Apple's requirements:

The optional AI explanation

Offramp's readiness assessment (Proceed / Caution / Hold) is computed on your device from your own check-ins and is fully deterministic. You may optionally request a short plain-language explanation of that assessment. When you do, the already-computed verdict and the contributing signals (e.g. recent symptom levels, trend, sleep deviation) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API through our server to generate the wording. This text only explains the on-device verdict; it never changes it, and it never tells you to change a dose. Anthropic processes this request as our data processor and does not use it to train models. The app works fully without ever using this feature.

Service providers (data processors)

We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process your data only on our instructions and under contract, with protections at least as protective as this policy:

How we protect your data

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to your records is enforced server-side by row-level security tied to your account. We restrict internal access to what is needed to operate the service.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account exists. You are in control:

Backups may persist for a short, limited period before being overwritten in the ordinary course of operation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the EU/UK GDPR and US state privacy laws), you have rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data, and to withdraw consent. Our legal bases for processing are performance of our contract with you (running the app you signed up for) and your consent (for example, connecting Apple Health). You can exercise these rights in-app (export/delete) or by emailing [email protected]. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Offramp is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country, whichever is higher) to create an account.

Important — not medical advice

Offramp is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and does not recommend starting, stopping, or changing any medication. Always make medication decisions with your prescriber.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
